AR BOOTCAMP /:
Fairy Wings
In Jan 2025, for two days I did an intensive short term AR bootcamp residency with New Media Art Club, led by CGI artist Nicholas delap. Where I was introduced to the foregrounds of AR technology.
Tasked with experimenting with various softwares such as Unity & Blender, I explored binding together my own practices of sound work and poetry to produce an Artistic 3d visual & sound piece.
Inspired by a recent discovery of the culture surrounding the silver haired fairies of Senegal, I played with
using AR technology and 3d modelling to turn the trees and grass of parks into fairy lakes. Following this with a poem and song track that flows with the motif and layers the visual, the end result was ‘Fairy Wings’.
